Business Editors/Automotive Writers

CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 1, 2003

).

"This type of program is critical for the automotive industry The automotive industry is the industry involved in the design, development, manufacture, marketing, and sale of motor vehicles. In 2006, more than 69 million motor vehicles, including cars and commercial vehicles were produced worldwide. ," said Ted Valenti, ADP Dealer Services, vice president Imaging Solutions. "At the 2003 NADA Conference, ADP showcased Dealer CAP as part of its portfolio that would soon be available to dealers. While there are other programs providing dealers with specific forms related to compliance, this is the first time a comprehensive program has been introduced. This is just another way DOX helps dealers sell more cars, parts and service profitably."

Dealer CAP was developed in cooperation with Whann & Associates, an Ohio-based law firm specializing in representation of businesses in the motor vehicle industry including dealerships, auto auctions, trade associations and industry-related entities. Founder Keith Whann is known throughout the industry for his legal expertise, and has written numerous industry articles and conducted speaking engagements throughout the country.

"Each day, there are changes to the legal requirements that affect the automotive industry," said Whann. "Helping dealers stay up-to-date with these changes results in more efficient operations and protects the transactions the dealerships enter into with customers by providing documents that contain appropriate and compliant language."

When integrated correctly into the dealerships' management system, Dealer CAP can assist dealers in preventing some of the most common paperwork errors, which in some cases can lead to noncompliance noncompliance

failure of the owner to follow instructions, particularly in administering medication as prescribed; a cause of a less than expected response to treatment.
