ADP Signs Global License With mdbs; Takes Equity Position in Developer of Complex Information Management Software.

ADP purchases license rights for use of advanced mdbs technologies

in its global organization. Move helps facilitate expansion of

ADP applications and services.

Automatic Data Processing, Inc. (ADP), one of the largest independent computing services firms in the world, and Micro Data Base Systems, Inc. (mdbs), a leading developer of sophisticated database and expert systems software, have signed an agreement providing ADP with a multi-year global license for the use of mdbs technologies, including TITANIUM(R) and GURU(R). In addition, ADP will take a minority shareholder position in mdbs for an undisclosed sum.

This expanded business relationship will make mdbs data management software available for use in various ADP product offerings that require high performance, mission-critical applications. The agreement extends the relationship between mdbs and ADP. ADP currently uses mdbs data management software in systems which process hundreds of millions of paychecks annually.
