ADP Introduces eXpert Services, Integrated Best-of-Breed Solutions Built for the Web.

Benefits eXpert(SM) provides mid-market with a new way

to more efficiently manage benefits administration tasks

Automatic Data Processing, Inc. (ADP(R)) today introduced eXpert Services, a new suite of Internet-based products for payroll, HR, benefits administration, travel and expense management, and employee self-service (ESS). ADP developed eXpert Services as a hosted suite of integrated business solutions, which provide affordable tools specifically designed to meet the needs of mid-sized companies. The full suite will be comprised of Pay eXpert(R), Human Resource eXpert, Benefits eXpert(SM), Expense eXpert, and Recruiting eXpert.

To introduce eXpert Services ADP has launched Benefits eXpert , a Web-based employee self-service and benefits administration application targeted at companies with 100-5000 employees, developed in partnership with AtWork Technologies, Inc. Benefits eXpert manages employee benefits by simplifying the administration of complex benefits plans through an intuitive Web interface, performing eligibility calculations and providing premium reconciliation tools. Benefits eXpert can help to reduce the time it takes to perform administrative tasks by as much as 60% (IOMA report) by automating a traditionally labor intensive process and increasing employee communications via the Internet.

Benefits eXpert will seamlessly integrate with the eXpert Suite, as well as ADP's traditional client/server based applications, ADP PC/Payroll for Windows and HR/Profile(TM). As a result, new hire information, benefits deductions, and ESS information changes are automatically synchronized, while data integrity is preserved and redundant data entry is eliminated. All critical data is encrypted through a 128-bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) to help ensure secure transmission over the Web.

The Web-based ESS functionality within Benefits eXpert allows companies to streamline the benefits enrollment process by giving employees "round-the-clock" access to view and update their own benefits information. Through built-in ESS features, employees take charge of performing benefit comparisons and changing benefits elections for such major life changes as marriage or birth of a child.

eXpert Services

Pay eXpert, developed by ADP, combines the functionality and features of ADP PC/Payroll for Windows with the power of the Internet, allowing clients to access their payroll anywhere, anytime from a Web-enabled PC. Expense eXpert, delivered in partnership with Concur Technologies, Inc., is a Web-based service offering which enables clients to reduce costs associated with manual expense report processing, by automating their travel and expense reimbursement process. Human Resource eXpert, developed by ADP, will be made available later this year. Recruiting eXpert is planned to be delivered through a strategic partnership and anticipated to launch in 2002.
