(ADP(R)) Major Account Services today announced an alliance with Concur Technologies, the leading provider of corporate expense management solutions, to offer a Web-based travel and expense management application. An extension of ADP's recruitment through retirement employee administration product and service spectrum for mid-sized businesses, this solution enables clients to reduce the average cost of processing an expense report from $36 down to $10 by automating the expense report submission and approval process. The system further expedites the reporting process by allowing reimbursement through ADP payroll services.

With Concur Expense(R) employees can access a secure Web site hosted by Concur to prepare and submit expense reports in a faster and more accurate manner at their convenience from either the office, the road or at home from any standard Web browser. Supervisors are instantly notified of new expense reports and can review and approve the request online. The employee submitting the report receives e-mails regarding the status of approvals, ensuring the prompt processing of reports and protecting against approval forms or receipts being lost in interoffice transmission or forms being rejected for improper submission.

This new solution is easy to use for employees and also features several enhancements that simplify system administration. The delivery of the application via the Internet reduces the pressure on a business' IT staff to implement and maintain complicated software. In addition, the employee can define configuration options or select from a variety of `best practices' approaches that will provide a customized fit for each company's internal expense processing requirements including defining reimbursable expenses and reporting formats. Concur Expense also provides the ability to obtain reimbursement through an ADP payroll system and provides export files that allows integration with internal accounts payable or general ledger systems. The solution is also viable for smaller and larger companies.
