ADP Context Inc. and Medic Computer Systems Inc. have signed a joint development and marketing agreement to provide a real-time, clinical editing application to Medic's 65,000 physicians who are currently utilizing the +MEDIC(R) PM and +MEDIC Vision(R) practice management systems.

Noncompliant billing practices by providers participating in the Medicare program have proven to be widespread. More than $20 billion of the country's Medicare claims are estimated to be billed erroneously. Inappropriate coding and billing practices have translated into costly resubmissions and extensive write-offs for providers. Moreover, providers have increased litigation exposure due to legislation passed in recent years that provides for larger fines and criminal prosecution for erroneously coded claims.
