ADP was the IRS' largest pilot partner in its effort to develop a sophisticated, next generation system for electronic filing of employment taxes, for example, Form 941. ADP played a key role in developing the EDI implementation standards and expanding the capacity of the systems which enabled national release of the new filing system.

ADP's Tax Filing Service is part of the company's Tax and Financial Services Center, which has more than 800 dedicated ADP associates who manage complicated administrative and regulatory issues on behalf of ADP clients. Other services offered by the Tax and Financial Center include Unemployment Compensation Services(TM), Full Service Direct Deposit(TM), ADP Check(TM), New Hire Reporting, and Wage Garnishment garnishment, in law, means of requiring a third party who holds a debt (including wages) due a defendant to retain the property temporarily. The garnishment consists of a warning, in the form of a judgment, to the third party, called the garnishee, not to deliver the  Processing Service.
