ADP Appoints VP National Accounts Marketing; new executive in charge of large company HR, benefits, payroll solutions.

ROSELAND, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 15, 1996--Automatic Data Processing, Inc. (ADP) -- the country's largest provider of fully-integrated human resources, benefits and payroll solutions -- announced today the appointment of Richard E. Hasty, Jr. to the position of Vice President of National Accounts Marketing.

Hasty brings 12 years' experience in software marketing and client/server systems integration to his new role at ADP. As head of marketing for National Accounts, Hasty will direct the strategy and plan development, product definitions, service definitions and marketing of all ADP products and services for companies with 1,000 employees or more.

Hasty reports directly to Tim Lamb, President of the National Accounts Division of ADP's Employer Services Group.

The ADP products and services include the Client Server Series (CSS) human resource management system (HRMS), Interactive Personnel & Payroll (IPP) HRMS, and ADP's Payroll, Tax Filing, Direct Deposit and Unemployment Cost Management services. They all combine on-site software and service to deliver business solutions for the transactions between employers and employees.

Prior to joining ADP, Hasty was Vice President, Marketing, Host Technologies, for Dun & Bradstreet Software. His $250-million group included software applications for Human Resources, Benefits, Payroll, Financials, Materials Management and Manufacturing. Previously, he was Vice President of Cap Gemini America, part of the world's fourth largest systems integrator, where he focused on client/server systems.

Hasty holds a B.A. from the University of North Carolina.
