This effort signals an intent to bring a new level of convenience and portability to Adobe's customers and to deliver Palm users with new content, from electronic books (e-books) to business workflow documents.

Publishers, authors and readers of electronic documents use Adobe PDF for its ability to retain the visual integrity of a document, preserve relevant information such as graphics and text within a single document and maintain cross-platform capabilities. Tens of millions of PDF files are already available worldwide, including electronic books, manuals and workflow materials and forms.
