ADMET Enhances Its Gauge Buster Load, Stress and Load Rate Indicators.

of metals, plastics, concrete and other materials. The new features include the addition of an optional second channel of displacement input plus several new data analyses.

The new analyses are yield by halt of the pointer, load at a specified position, energy and average load rate which can be used to verify that a test was performed according to specification. Also added was a password protected operator mode to prevent changes to the test setup, plus live RS-232 serial data streaming. The data streaming enables measurements from other equipment to be aligned with the Gauge Buster data in a single file through the use of a data logging program.

"No longer is the Gauge Buster just a lower cost digital replacement for an analog dial gage," commented Richard Gedney, ADMET founder and president. "By eliminating the need for operators to observe the movements of an analog dial and hand calculate results, the Gauge Buster eliminates errors and improves the integrity of the test results. These new features provide another reason to retrofit existing analog equipment with ADMET Gauge Buster."

Yield by halt of the pointer is the point at which the needle on an analog dial hesitates as a specimen is being pulled in tension. This Gauge Buster enhancement eliminates the need for operators to visually read the point of hesitation and manually record the results. Gauge Buster automatically records yield by halt of the pointer and stores the result with the sample's load and stress data. This approach is more accurate and faster.

Average load rate is also an important calculation to ensure compliance with ASTM ASTM

(American Society for Testing and Materials) standards. The analysis reports the average test rate so you can quickly verify that a test was performed according to specification.

All of the data is transferable to spreadsheets or LIMS LIMS Laboratory Information Management System

With the exception of the optional second channel of displacement input, all of the new analyses and features are now standard in the Gauge Buster and Gauge Buster Plus. They are available immediately directly from ADMET, as well as from ADMET representatives and calibrators.
