ADLINK Technology Inc., the leading supplier of open-platform PC- based measurement and automation equipment, today introduced the DAQ-2010, a 4CH simultaneous 2MHz (MegaHertZ) One million cycles per second. It is used to measure the transmission speed of electronic devices, including channels, buses and the computer's internal clock. A one-megahertz clock (1 MHz) means some number of bits (16, 32, 64, etc.  A/D A/D

 multifunction card.

The DAQ-2010 is the first member of the DAQ-2000 series, using the innovative carrier/daughter design allowing most advanced functions to integrate into a half-size PCI card A circuit board that plugs into the computer's PCI bus and contains the control electronics for a peripheral device. Starting in the latter half of the 1990s, PCI became very popular. See PCI.  while providing an easy migration path from PCI bus PCI bus - Peripheral Component Interconnect  to PXI/CompactPCI bus.

DAQ-2010 uses the latest carrier and daughter modular design concept, which separates the analog circuitry and digital circuitry into two cards, thus it greatly reduces the signal noise generated by digital parts and increases the Effective Numbers of Bits (ENOB ENOB - effective number of bits ) in the data measurement.

In addition, the carrier/daughter design makes upgrade from PCI (1) (Payment Card Industry) See PCI DSS.

(2) (Peripheral Component Interconnect) The most widely used I/O bus (peripheral bus).
form factor to CompactPCI/PXI effortless by simply changing the PCI carrier to PXI (PCI EXtensions for Instrumentation) A peripheral bus specialized for data acquisition and real time control systems. Introduced in 1997, PXI uses the CompactPCI 3U and 6U form factors and adds trigger lines, a local bus and other functions suited for measurement  -- all this is done without any modification to the software codes.

Versatile trigger function of DAQ-2010 allows users to trigger data acquisition to start and stop in order to get valid information from the fast changing transient data. Thus allowing DAQ-2010 to acquire accurate high bandwidth signal from ultrasonic systems, radars, sonar and high frequency transient signals.

Special intelligent timing control logic and data buffer management allows high-speed data I/O (Input/Output) The transfer of data between the CPU and a peripheral device. Every transfer is an output from one device and an input to another. See PC input/output.

throughput at the same time, which enables accurate high-speed measurement with no time delay. This makes DAQ-2010 the ideal device for stimulus/response testing.

Calibrating the DAQ-2010 is achieved with a simple software command to automatically adjust the offset and gain setting to achieve best data accuracy. Multiple card synchronization is done with high-speed signal bus for trigger and clock transmission. Such interface allows multiple cards to be integrated into a system and provides card-to-card synchronization.

DAQ-2010 is equipped with numerous advanced features to make an ideal device to measure high-speed signal and perform high-performance system testing.
