ADL's leftist influence still at Bush-Ashcroft DOJ.

Following the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing, President Bill Clinton and Attorney General Janet Reno launched an all-out campaign to demonize all serious opposition to the Clinton administration's left-wing political agenda. The Clinton-Reno Department of Justice (DOJ) and its media allies promiscuously applied the "anti-government" label to political conservatives, constitutionalists and libertarians in an attempt to link, in the public's mind, principled political opponents with neo-Nazis and terrorists.

One of the DOJ's very dangerous post-OKC bombing efforts was the State and Local Anti-Terrorism Training (SLATT) Program, a vehicle aimed at re-programming local police to view conservatives as incipient terrorists. According to the federal SLATT instructors, individuals who oppose the United Nations, gun control or abortion, or who speak out against the Clinton regime's deadly jack-boot tactics at Waco, are effectively co-conspirators with OKC bomber Timothy McVeigh.

Mark Pitcavage, a hard-core leftist, was chosen as research director of SLATT and has influenced federal training of thousands of local police officers nationwide. To help re-orient police officers in SLATT workshops, Pitcavage brought in fellow leftists from the Anti-Defamation League, the Southern Poverty Law Center and the National Lawyers Guild. (A congressional committee cited the NLG as "the foremost legal bulwark of the Communist Party.") Pitcavage is now director of Fact Finding for the ADL.

According to an official DOJ flyer, Pitcavage was a main featured speaker at a domestic terrorism conference "Sponsored by the United States Attorney's Office for the Western District of Tennessee and the Anti-Defamation League" in Memphis on April 23. The flyer informed potential attendees that Pitcavage "has been actively involved with training law enforcement officers, prosecutors, and judges on terrorism and extremism issues, working closely with the FBI and many state and local agencies."
