Advanced Digital Information Corporation (Nasdaq:ADIC) announced today that the company will feature storage and storage management solutions for rich media content at the National Association of Broadcasters Convention next week in Las Vegas.

ADIC(R) solutions will be demonstrated at the ADIC booth and the booths of partners, including DataDirect Networks, EMC, Seachange, and Tecmath.

Three ADIC solution families will be featured at NAB:

CentraVision(TM) file sharing software is intelligent storage management software that allows servers to sustain very high levels of parallel data streams, and provides the ability for multiple servers to share data stored on a common disk, even allowing them to access the same files at the same time. CentraVision helps eliminate the need to duplicate or move files between servers, simplifies the job of managing files in content delivery networks, and leverages the power of servers by allowing them to provide up to 800 simultaneous video streams per server.

ADIC Automated storage libraries include the ADIC Scalar(R) and AML series, scalable mixed-media storage libraries that support up to 70,000 pieces of media and hundreds of drives or recorders. ADIC libraries have become leaders in broadcast media and entertainment industry use because they allow rapid, automated access to data and support simultaneous use different recording media, including digital tape (DST, AIT, DLT, LTO, 3590, and others), analog tape, and optical formats. ADIC automated tape libraries scale easily in response to data growth, and feature integrated SAN connectivity and management tools.

ADIC will also preview a new multi-tiered storage solution that automatically manages different storage elements within an integrated system and that is optimized for the kinds of large data sets used in digital asset management and streaming video applications. The new solution combines SAN file sharing for very high bandwidth and collaborative workflow, capacity that includes both fast-access Fibre disk and high-capacity automated storage libraries, and software that automatically moves data between different elements in the storage system based access demands and user need.
