REDMOND, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 31, 2002

Advanced Digital Information Corporation (Nasdaq:ADIC), the leading supplier of Intelligent Storage(TM) systems, announced today that is has received ISO (1) See ISO speed.

9001:2000 certification for its Denver, Colorado manufacturing and design facility.

The ISO 9000 quality standards establish an internationally recognized set of processes for promoting effective management practices and business excellence. The 2000 revision of ISO 9000 expands the original 1994 standards by increasing the emphasis on business processes designed to provide higher levels of customer satisfaction in both products and services.

The 148,000 square foot Denver facility, opened in January of 2002, houses ADIC(R) software developers, hardware design engineers, customer service and support, and manufacturing teams that produce the company's Scalar scalar, quantity or number possessing only sign and magnitude, e.g., the real numbers (see number), in contrast to vectors and tensors; scalars obey the rules of elementary algebra. Many physical quantities have scalar values, e.g. (R) family enterprise tape libraries and its storage management software. All of ADIC's major manufacturing and design centers, including the company's Redmond Washington headquarters and manufacturing plant in Boehmenkirch, Germany, are certified See certification.  under the 1994 ISO 9000 standards, and are currently in the process of upgrading to the newer versions.
