ADED wins awards.

The Arkansas Department of Economic Development has picked up five awards from the Southern Economic Development Council, a regional economic development association, for materials developed by Stone Ward of Little Rock.

The awards were for promotional pieces designed to sell Arkansas' business-friendliness and quality of life. Arkansas is among 17 states in the SEDC.

Awards included:

* Superior--for a TV spot for a Golf Channel ad featuring Arkansas golfers Glen Day, Bryce Molder and Sean Fister.

* Excellence--in the annual reports category for ADED's 2002 annual report, and in the audiovisual category for a Marion/West Memphis site video used to recruit automakers to the area.

* Merit--in the publication advertising category for an ad in the Augusta Chronicle during the Master's golf tournament week, and an ad with Arkansas Children's Hospital's Dr. Jonathan Drummond-Webb that ran in publications such as Time magazine.
