MANAGER Jimmy Ginnelly praised his players after seeing his Atherstone Town side win 2-0 at Shifnal Town to clinch the title.

Jai Stanley and Jae Martin struck the goals but the boss was pleased by the all-round display.

"I'm very, very proud,"

Ginelly said. "It's tough in non-league and people don't realise the amount of work that goes on behind the scenes.

"But we've done it and I cannot wait for the break, I am absolutely shattered."

Stanley's 25-yard screamer midway through the half set the Adders on their way but they were helped by the sending off of Shifnal defender Gordon Simms at the start of the second period.

The visitors made the most of their extra man and Martin slotted home his sides second on 50 minutes.
