Work with Qwest Enables More Than 6,000 Circuits for Data and Phone Service at Denver's Pepsi Center, Invesco Field

MINNEAPOLIS -- People around the world won't see ADC (NASDAQ: ADCT) (www.adc.com) front and center at this week's Democratic National Convention (DNC) activities; however, they will see countless blog posts, news broadcasts, video streams relaying the action from Denver's Pepsi Center over an on-site network created through ADC's partnership with Qwest Communications Inc. (NYSE: Q).

ADC is providing its full suite of fiber and fiber termination products - including patch cords, panels and splice trays - to assist Qwest in carrying traffic on more than 2,600 temporary data lines and 3,400 voice circuits at the Pepsi Center, the main DNC venue, and nearby Invesco Field at Mile High, the site of Barack Obama's DNC speech.

Before the DNC ends on Aug. 28, ADC and Qwest will be working on the installation of another fiber network at St. Paul's Xcel Energy Center, site of the Republican National Convention (RNC) Sept. 1-4.

The Qwest network has an aggregate data capacity of about 50 billion bits per second. According to Qwest, the bandwidth supplied over the 96 hours of the DNC event equals the broadband capacity to transfer 514 million 4 Mbps MP3s across the Internet.

ADC also will support wireless services for the RNC and DNC events.
