Alcoa Fujikura consented to the entry of a final judgment by the District Court for the District of Minnesota finding the ADC patent valid and enforceable. Also, Alcoa Fujikura has taken a license under the ADC patent and agreed to a supply contract.

The licensed technology relates to ADC's fiber distribution frame connector modules, which are designed with connectors mounted in left and right fields. The connectors in the right field are angled toward the right side of the moduleand the connectors mounted in the left field are angled toward the left side of the module, which provides improved fiber-optic cable management. The licensed technology further relates to ADC's fiber distribution frames, which have interchangeable splice, storage and connector modules that allow telecommunications companies to interchangeably customize their fiber distribution frames according to according to
