In September 2001, Hutchison 3G UK announced that it would deploy ADC's Singl.eView(TM) Convergent Billing system to support its multimedia services including voice, data, e-mail, and information services. The system is being implemented in Italy, with plans to make it available in every country where Hutchison Whampoa has 3G interests.

"It's clear that successful networks must be based on infrastructure designed to grow with the network," said Pat O'Brien, vice president of ADC's Connectivity Business Unit. "ADC is pleased to help establish a solid network foundation rooted in connectivity, and further our relationship as the Hutchison Whampoa Group builds a quality 3G network through its affiliates in Europe."
