designation is by invitation only and recognizes ADC for having the ability to provide the core knowledge and skills required to successfully deploy and support Cisco Optical Metro DWDM and Optical Metro Transport solutions.

DWDM technology allows for the transmission of multiple electronic signals over a single optical fiber, which can vastly increase capacity without the need for additional fiber. Optical metro transport and metro DWDM help lower operational costs, simplify network architectures and extend the range, as well as the ability to help telecommunications carriers generate new revenue by making it easier to add network connections.

"ATP partners are instrumental in helping Cisco penetrate new growth markets," said Paul Mountford, senior vice president of Worldwide Channels for Cisco Systems “Cisco” redirects here. For other uses, see Cisco (disambiguation).
Cisco System,Inc. (NASDAQ: CSCO, HKSE: 4333 ) is an American multinational corporation with 54,000 employees and annual revenue of US $28.48 billion as of 2006.
. "Our Optical Network Transport and DWDM ATPs enable ADC to successfully deploy two of Cisco's key advanced technologies to the marketplace."

"Carriers have done an exceptional job of lowering their operating costs operating costs nplgastos mpl operacionales  and maximizing their infrastructure, and now the battle is to add more revenue," said Jo Anne Anderson Anne Anderson may refer to: People

, president of the Systems Integration and Software Services Business Units for ADC. "Optical metro transport and metro DWDM are very appealing as they not only give carriers the opportunity to quickly add more customers, they give them the mechanism to offer new high-bandwidth, high capacity services.

"We know our customers are excited by these technologies. We're pleased to be part of Cisco's efforts," Anderson said.

Resource Requirements The components of a system that are required by software or hardware. It refers to resources that have finite limits such as memory and disk. In a PC, it may also refer to the resources required to install a new peripheral device, namely IRQs, DMA channels, I/O addresses and memory

In order to be recognized as an Optical Metro Transport ATP, ADC was required to fulfill the following job roles with qualified individuals who have met specific testing requirements: an account or engagement manager, responsible for Optical Metro Transport sales methodology; and three systems engineers, responsible for planning design, implementation, and integration to support Optical Metro Transport solutions.

In order to be recognized as an Optical Metro DWDM ATP, ADC was required to fulfill the following job roles with qualified individuals who have met specific testing requirements: an account or engagement manager, responsible for Optical Metro DWDM sales methodology; and three systems engineers, responsible for assisting customers to plan, design, acquire, configure, implement, and integrate the systems required to support Optical Metro DWDM solutions.

Customer Satisfaction Requirement

In addition to the personnel requirements, ADC has agreed to meet the requirements to determine customer satisfaction. This includes the random survey of partners' customers to obtain a customer satisfaction rating. In order to maintain its ATP status, ADC must obtain a 4.0 average rating out of a possible 5.0 average for every five surveys completed.

Lab Requirement

The Optical Metro Transport ATP and Optical Metro DWDM ATP also require ADC to have access to a Cisco Qualified lab to aid in Proof of Concept demonstrations, internal training, and network emulation Network emulation is a technique where the properties of an existing, planned and/or non-ideal network are simulated in order assess performance, predict the impact of change, or otherwise optimize technology decision-making.  to simulate actual end user conditions.
