Director of the Princess Basma Development Center in Aqaba, Mrs. Fatima Al Hinnawi, explained that the initiative was launched based on a study that was conducted on the needs of families in Al Deesa. The agricultural unit will support, encourage and develop personal farms and agricultural projects to improve the conditions of families living in Al Deesa. The unit will be implemented in three phases, which include awareness and guidance, providing families with necessary equipment, and the establishment of a Loans Fund. The first two phases were implemented upon signing a contract with ADC in the presence of Princess Basma bint Talal back in October 2008. Eng. To begin implementing the third phase, Fakhouri presented a check to Mrs. Al Hinawi, to improve the agricultural state of Al Deesa through funding small projects aimed at developing the agricultural sector as well as increasing productivity and the general quality of life of the residents.
