ADC Introduces Three New FTTX Solutions at OFC/NFOEC 2007.

Solutions Offer Network Flexibility, Efficiency and High Performance

MINNEAPOLIS -- ADC (NASDAQ:ADCT)(www.adc.com), today introduced its expanded line of OmniReach[TM] fiber-to-the-x (FTTX) solutions, the industry's first platform designed to meet the unique requirements of FTTX networks. The new solutions include the OmniReach Indoor Fiber Distribution Hub 3000 Series Cabinets, OmniReach Fiber Distribution Hub 3000S and OmniReach Hardened Connector Test Kit. ADC will exhibit its extended portfolio of fiber optic network equipment, including its full suite of solutions for central office, distribution, access and premises applications at the 2007 Optical Fiber Communication/National Fiber Optic Engineers Conference & Exposition (Booth #3572) in Anaheim, Calif., March 27-29.

"We're excited to unveil our extended OmniReach portfolio at OFC/NFOEC," said Jack Field, vice president of FTTX product management for ADC. "By building network infrastructures based on ADC's OmniReach solutions, service providers can accelerate deployment and maximize operational efficiency from the central office to the outside plant. Our two new fiber distribution hubs simplify interconnection for rapid deployment and service turn up - always a plus for technicians in the field."

The following new products are now part of ADC's expanded OmniReach FTTX Infrastructure Solutions and will be introduced at OFC/NFOEC 2007:

OmniReach Indoor Fiber Distribution Hub 3000 Series Cabinets

The OmniReach Indoor Fiber Distribution Hub (FDH) 3000i, is a new cabinet designed to organize and administer fiber optic cables and passive optical splitters for inside plant environments typically found at multiple-dwelling units (MDUs). Providing a vital cross-connect and interconnect interface for optical transmission signals at the MDU, the FDH 3000i hardware and components support the architectural flexibility of FTTX, allowing fast and reliable interconnection between equipment and cables.

The FDH3000i's unique front-facing, cross-connect configuration provides for complete fiber management and is designed for premium flexibility, accommodating a range of fiber counts and supporting factory installation of pigtails, fanouts and splitters. FDH3000i cabinets provide flexible mounting arrangements, including wall, rack or floor mounting.

OmniReach Fiber Distribution Hub 3000S

ADC also will introduce its new OmniReach Fiber Distribution Hub (FDH) 3000S, a sealed-closure version of ADC's FDH 3000. The OmniReach FDH 3000S is a compact, flexible closure that provides a connection between fiber optic cables and passive optical splitters in the outside plant. The closure can be mounted to support aerial, buried and underground applications. It connects feeder and distribution cables via optical splitters in FTTX networks and is ideal for rural and brownfield deployments. The unique design of the FDH 3000S supports varied deployment options and provides for rapid network installation and service turn-up.

OmniReach Hardened Connector Test Kit

In addition, ADC will feature its new OmniReach Hardened Connector Test Kit at OFC/NFOEC 2007. This kit provides the necessary tools for testing and turning-up hardened connector architectures. It includes: test cables, adapters, a cleaning kit, cleaning and turn-up documentation, a product reference sheet, and a water-resistant carrying case with individual pockets for organizing all the components in the kit. Additional space is provided for carrying other test equipment required by technicians. The test cables and adapters contained in the kit are rigorously tested to provide the highest repeatable measurements for all testing scenarios in a hardened connector-designed network.
