ADC Introduces New Wireless Products at WiMAX World USA.

Digivance WMX WMX - WDM Multiplexer
WMX - Window Manager for X
WiMAX Solutions Enable Next Generation, Mobile Broadband Networks

MINNEAPOLIS -- ADC (NASDAQ:ADCT) (www.adc.com), today announced that it is featuring two new Digivance([R]) WMX WiMAX products at the WiMAX World USA Conference & Exhibition, October 10-12, at the World Trade Center in Boston, Booth #610. As part of its exhibit, ADC will conduct a WiMAX demonstration featuring live video streaming over the Digivance WMX WiMAX solution and managed by ADC's SG-1 Service Gateway.

The Digivance WMX 3000 Base Station and Digivance WMX 300 Subscriber Unit are additions to ADC's family of Digivance WMX WiMAX solutions that are built on proven technologies. The Digivance WMX 3000 Base Station is a stackable, carrier-class platform from which wireless operators can launch premium voice, multimedia and data services. The system offers a broad range of deployment options including operation as a single-sector base station or within a multi-sector cell site. It supports fixed and nomadic WiMAX applications and seamlessly integrates into a mobile 802.16e-2005 WiMAX network.

The Digivance WMX 300 Subscriber Unit offers a broad range of functions required by medium-to-large businesses and enterprises while supporting high-speed service to hundreds of simultaneously connected users. The product provides a low-cost, multi-megabit data service alternative to expensive leased line service and enables scalable differentiated services for business and enterprise customers.

"With its superior price/performance characteristics, WiMAX is gaining momentum as an alternative technology for wireless broadband access," said Todd Schieffert, director of strategic marketing for Wireless for ADC. "As carriers look for ways to offer mobile and fixed voice, video and data over the same infrastructure, our Digivance WMX product portfolio provides powerful solutions that can help them implement their convergence strategies efficiently and economically."

ADC is also showcasing its new WFX WFX - Warfighter Exercise Wi-Fi Outdoor Enclosure that offers environmental protection for the WFX Wi-Fi Array in all climates and enables the customer to deploy the industry's highest capacity Wi-Fi system outdoors. The outdoor enclosure shields the WFX Wi-Fi Array from rain, heat, cold, direct sun and wind while providing an additional layer of physical security. It also allows the WFX Wi-Fi array to be used in campus and metropolitan Wi-Fi environments, taking advantage of the array's half-mile range.

Each WFX Wi-Fi Array offers up to four wireless backhaul links, with each link providing up to 162 Mbps of wireless backhaul capacity, eliminating the need for a wired Ethernet connection to backhaul Wi-Fi data. The outdoor enclosure is fully compatible with ADC's family of long-range, high-capacity WFX Wi-Fi solutions.

ADC's Subscriber Management Platform, the SG-1, will also be featured at the conference. The SG-1 Service Gateway is the first carrier-class gateway product to offer dynamic "on-the-fly" service creation that allows service providers to add an intelligent layer of value-added services. During the WiMAX demonstration, the SG-1 will provide web authentication, application awareness, accounting, and enable users to dynamically change their service class to accommodate high-bandwidth applications.
