The global manufacturing plan will shorten delivery times and maintain cost effectiveness while still ensuring high-quality, reliable AOFR fiber-optic products for ADC's customers worldwide. The 4,400 square meter (47,300 square feet) facility is scheduled for completion in November of this year, and will encompass all AOFR Australia-based operations including space for offices, laboratories, manufacturing, assembly and warehousing. ADC will provide the optical splitters and WDMs to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) as well as package them for service providers such as cable TV companies, local telephone companies, inter-exchange carriers, competitive access providers and international service providers.
