ADC Foundation Donates $50,000 to Support Victims of National Tragedy; Contribution to September 11th Fund Designed to Help Recovery Efforts.

 Foundation, the corporate giving arm of ADC (Nasdaq:ADCT ADCT Adaptive Discrete Cosine Transform ; www.adc.com), today announced its plans to donate $50,000 to The September 11th Fund The September 11th Fund was created by the New York Community Trust [1] and the United Way of New York City[2] in response to the destruction of the World Trade Center on 9/11/2001. , a fund established to provide relief to victims and families affected by the terrorist attacks in New York City New York City: see New York, city.

, Washington D.C. and Pennsylvania. The donation will provide immediate support to established emergency assistance agencies, such as the American Red Cross American Red Cross: see Red Cross.  and other nonprofit health and human service agencies in the affected cities.

ADC and its Foundation will provide a dollar-for-dollar match for any worldwide employee's gift for the disaster, up to $1,000 per employee. In addition, the company and Foundation will hold a blood drive for employees at its world headquarters.

It is one of the oldest and largest community foundations in the United States with 2006 assets of over $1.9 billion. . The fund is also being supported by United Way agencies around the country, and 100 percent of all donations raised to assist victims of this disaster through other United Ways will be funneled to this new fund.
