Metrica/NPR to Enhance Company's Management

of Network Performance Information

ADC Telecommunications Inc. (Nasdaq:ADCT)(www.adc.com) today announced that its Metrica/NPR network performance management solution has been chosen by VoiceStream Wireless, provider of personal communications services (PCS) in the western United States, using Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM) technology. The contract with VoiceStream means that Metrica/NPR is now used by all the GSM Alliance members in the U.S.

Metrica/NPR manages performance information collected from extensive GSM networks such as VoiceStream's. The Metrica/NPR solution stores large volumes of performance measurement data and provides daily, weekly and monthly reports on a wide range of operating parameters.

In addition to Metrica/NPR, Voicestream has chosen Metrica/Web to enable employees in different locations to share access to performance information via intranets. By this means, employees who are not network operation data experts can access and integrate vital performance information with their own familiar Windows and/or Web desktop applications.
