ADC Telecommunications, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADCT; www.adc.com) announced today that MediaOne has selected the ADC Homeworx(TM) hybrid fiber/coax (HFC) platform for delivering cable telephony in its Detroit network. MediaOne, a leading, nationwide, broadband services provider, currently is conducting network testing, and intends to launch telephony service to its Detroit customers in 1999.

To date, MediaOne has deployed ADC's Homeworx platform in its broadband networks in Los Angeles and Atlanta.
