Microtune(TM), Inc. (Nasdaq:TUNE) today announced that its MicroTuner(TM) MT2040 single-chip tuner has been designed into multiple cable set-top boxes developed by Advanced Digital Broadcast, Ltd. ADB, a leading supplier of state-of-the-art and cost-effective solutions for global satellite, cable and terrestrial pay-TV operators, ranks among the world's leading dedicated providers of digital interactive TV set-top boxes.

ADB says that it will implement Microtune's tuner-on-chip in its 6000 Series for DVB Return Channel, its 3000 Series Standard Cable Set-top Boxes, and also in its DOCSIS cable platforms. These models span the range from cost-optimized appliances targeted to high-volume Pan Asian markets to highly sophisticated interactive cable gateways targeted for the European market. ADB will display one of its current 6000 Series models, the RCC-6F40-TVL1A1, in Microtune's booth, Number 1139, at the Western Cable Show in Anaheim, CA during November 28 through 30, 2001.
