ADAPCO Unveils New Product for Wastewater Systems.

Vulchur[TM] Tackles Odor and Corrosion Concerns While Saving Systems Money

SANFORD, Fla. -- Officials of ADAPCO Environmental Solutions (AES) announce the introduction of Vulchur[TM], a new product for the wastewater industry. Unveiling this week at the Water Federation's annual Technical Exhibition and Conference (WEFTEC WEFTEC WEF’s Annual Technical Exhibition and Conference (Water Environment Federation) ) in Dallas, TX (Booth # 6563), Vulchur is the only product on the market with the ability to control both odor-causing bacteria and corrosion in wastewater systems.

AES General Manager Jerry Davis, Vulchur removes hydrogen sulfide hydrogen sulfide, chemical compound, H2S, a colorless, extremely poisonous gas that has a very disagreeable odor, much like that of rotten eggs. It is slightly soluble in water and is soluble in carbon disulfide.  (H2S H2S Hydrogen Sulfide

from wastewater systems - two elements that cause serious odor, safety and equipment maintenance issues. "Vulchur eliminates odor, but it also reacts to form a corrosion inhibitor A corrosion inhibitor is a chemical compound that, when added in small concentration, stops or slows down corrosion of metals and alloys.

A typical good corrosion inhibitor will give 95% inhibition at concentration of 80 ppm, and 90% at 40 ppm.
for concrete and metal infrastructure and equipment," explained Davis. "This can help minimize costly repairs and maximize equipment life, which can ultimately save wastewater systems a great deal of time, labor and money."

Vulchur differs from other wastewater treatments because it does not increase a system's pH level, it does not create system solids or build-up and it uses 25% less chemical than other products.

"We have been very successful in demonstrating the product's abilities to the municipalities with whom we currently work closely," said Davis. "With the official introduction of Vulchur, we look forward to illustrating what we have to offer to the entire wastewater industry."

Professionals can maximize the efficiency of Vulchur with AES' SRC-V series. Its patented technology incorporates industrial computers and airborne sensors to monitor and control chemical consumption, and record data to assure peak performance of wastewater scrubbers.
