ADAC Laboratories to Provide Leading Pinnacle 3 Radiation Therapy Planning Systems to The Johns Hopkins Hospital.

ADAC Laboratories (Nasdaq:ADAC), today announced that it has completed an agreement to supply radiation therapy planning systems and physician workstations to The Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, Maryland.

The Johns Hopkins Hospital has been recognized as "the Best-of-the-Best" for eight consecutive years by U.S. News & World Report, while The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine is consistently ranked as one of the top two medical schools in the country. Johns Hopkins is currently one of only 35 cancer centers in the United States designated by the National Cancer Institute (NCI) as a Comprehensive Cancer Center.

This designation means that the center has active programs in clinical research, laboratory research, education, community outreach and prevention and control. The Johns Hopkins Oncology Center is the only NCI Comprehensive Cancer Center in Maryland. Opening in October 1999, the new Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Building will house the Comprehensive Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins. The state-of-the-art, five-story structure, will include pathology, radiology, pharmacy, surgery, hematology, medical oncology, radiation and outpatient treatment services.
