ADAC Laboratories Names Gary Burbach President of ADAC Medical Systems.

MILPITAS, Calif.--(BW HealthWire)--Dec. 15, 1998--ADAC Laboratories (Nasdaq:ADAC) has named Gary F. Burbach president of its ADAC Medical Systems business. Mr. Burbach will be responsible for managing the overall operations of the company's nuclear medicine and CT equipment refurbishment divisions.

In making the announcement, R. Andrew Eckert, ADAC CEO, said "We are confident that Gary will bring the same intensity to our core imaging business as he did as general manager of ADAC Radiation Therapy Products (RTP), where he led that business to its current dominant market leadership. In his new position, his scope is significantly expanded. I believe strongly Gary's leadership will accelerate ADAC's momentum in the diagnostic imaging marketplace."

Before being appointed to his new position, Mr. Burbach served from April 1998 as senior vice president and general manager with responsibilities for RTP and the company's worldwide customer support operations. He joined ADAC in September 1996 as the general manager of RTP. Prior to ADAC, he served from 1990 to 1996 as a senior engagement manager, focused in healthcare, for McKinsey & Company. He also held positions with Citicorp and Arthur Anderson.

Mr. Burbach received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University and a Masters of Business Administration Degree from Harvard Business School.
