Companies To Provide Integrated Cardiac Catheterization 

Lab Image Archive and Information Management System

ADAC Healthcare Information Systems (HCIS), a division of ADAC Laboratories (Nasdaq:ADAC), announced today that it has formed a strategic alliance with OptiMed Technologies Inc. of Fairfield, N.J., to provide a cardiac image archive and cardiac catheterization lab information management system, the CAATi(TM) System.

This new system is being marketed by ADAC and will provide rapid on-line access to all catheterization procedures and reports anywhere within a hospital. Physicians will also be able to obtain patient information from outside the hospital via the Internet, using the CAATi System's Web Server access.

The CAATi platform complies with the latest industry interface standards such as DICOM and HL7, is compatible with all x-ray vendors' catheterization systems, and will accept any digital, DICOM or high resolution analog input. The CAATi System has been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and is currently available.
