ADAC Healthcare Information Systems Appoints William W. Nye to Image Management Team.

MILPITAS, Calif.--(BW HealthWire)--March 31, 1999--ADAC HealthCare Information Systems (HCIS), a division of ADAC Laboratories (Nasdaq:ADAC), announced today that William W. Nye has joined ADAC as Senior Regional Imaging Consultant in the Midwest and Canadian Region.

Nye joins ADAC from Siemens Medical Systems, Inc., where he was a Project Engineer with the IS/PACS Systems Integration Group. Prior to his work with Siemens, Nye was the Administrator for Radiology Support Services and Image and Information Management for The University of Michigan Medical Center. He has also served as the Division Manager for Radiology Support Services and Assistant Medical Physicist for Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center.

Nye's responsibilities at Siemens included the design of large-scale Picture Archiving Communications Systems (PACS) installations. While at the University of Michigan, he was the architect for the University of Michigan's PACS system. In addition, Nye has provided consulting services to numerous hospitals for operational analysis, systems specification and selection, as well as implementation support.

Among other accomplishments, Nye has published papers, including: "PACS: A Focus On Information Delivery," "Turning Data Into Information: A Systems Approach," and "Improving Report Turnaround Time: An Integrated Method Using Data From A Radiology Information System." At ADAC, Nye will be responsible for the development and implementation of strategies to grow the Envoi integrated information and image management business
