Most award deadlines in terms of getting material to Central Office are May 1 each year. The exception to that rule is the Student Achievement Awards which we will detail here for your information. This award shall be presented to an active, life or life retired member of the American Dental Assistants Association with the longest record of consecutive employment with one employer. b. Consecutive employment shall refer to a member actually employed a minimum of 20 hours per week. c. The recipient must have maintained a minimum of five (5) consecutive years membership immediately preceding this award. d. Shall not have been a previous recipient of this award. e. Shall be present at Annual Conference to receive the award. Procedure a. Applicant Applicant is a sketch written by Harold Pinter. It was originally written in 1959 and was first broadcast on BBC Radio 3 in 1964. Plot Applying for a job, a young man named Mr. shall submit a notarized statement to include the following: 1. Qualifications and notarized statement shall be submitted to the Vice President by May 1. ADAA/JOHN O. BUTLER PRIDE AWARD Qualifications a. Shall be an active, life or life retired member of the American Dental Assistants Association. b. The recipient must have maintained a minimum of five (5) consecutive years membership immediately preceding this award. c. Promote and enhance the Profession of Dental Assisting. d. Shall have participated in local, state, or national offices and/or councils or sub-committees. e. Shall not have been a previous recipient of this award. f. Shall not be an employee of ADAA. Procedure The candidate name and qualifications shall be submitted to the Vice President by May 1. Clearly indicate in which category the nomination is made: clinical, business or education. NEW MEMBER INVOLVEMENT AWARD Qualifications a. Shall be an active member of the American Dental Assistants Assn. b. The recipient must have no more than five (5) consecutive year's membership with the American Dental Assistants Association. c. Shall not have been a previous new member. d. Shall have excelled in our motto of "Education, Efficiency, Loyalty and Service", during years of active membership. e. Shall have participated in local, state and/or national offices and/or councils or sub-committees. f. Shall have excelled in services above and beyond expected duties. g. ADAA STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT Award Qualifications a. Shall be a student member of the American Dental Assistants Association enrolled in a dental assisting program. b. School will select the applicant using the ADAA Student Achievement Award Evaluation Sheet. 2.School will select the applicant from a committee consisting of at least three members. Achievement Presented to the member who has shown the most
Award outstanding achievements in promoting the
objectives of the Association and furthering the
profession of dental assisting.
Loyal Assistant Presented to the member with the longest
Award consecutive employment with one employer.
ADAA/ The John O. Butler/ADAA Pride Award shall be
John O. Butler presented to a member who believes in loyalty to
Pride Award self as well as the profession of dental
assisting. The three categories of the Award will
be for: Clinical Assistant, Business/
Administrative Assistant and Educator. This is an
award for hard work, self motivation, professional
enhancement and advancement for the career of
dental assisting on the local, state or national
level.
New Member Presented to a member of no more than five years
Involvement who has shown the most outstanding achievement in
Award promoting the objectives of the Association and
furthering the profession of dental assisting.
ADAA Student Presented annually and available to one student
Achievement per dental assisting school. Reflects involvement
Award with class, and local/state dental assisting
activities and above average academic standing.
ADAA/ Recognition of a member in each district who has,
Sullivan-Schein through personal and professional growth, enhanced
District Awards the dental assisting profession and the ADAA. Each
of Excellence state may nominate a member from its district.
