Geoffrey Rodgers has been named as director of western region sales. Rodgers, who will report to Harding, was recently director of sales with Plato Design Systems prior to its acquisition by Cadence.

Harding, who has served as the interim sales executive for ADA since November 2001, has an outstanding record for identifying winning technology and for growing sales revenues by enormous amounts at both start-ups and established companies in the electronic design automation and semiconductor markets.  Design Systems, for instance, his team increased sales from $1 million to $12 million in the year prior to acquisition by Cadence, one of the chief factors in Ambit's record valuation. Similarly, Harding was responsible for generating 20 percent of Gateway Design's revenues before Cadence acquired the company, and for increasing revenues fourfold fourfold

In addition to his successes in sales, Harding also has been successful in operations. He managed the ASIC (Application Specific Integrated Circuit) Pronounced "a-sick." At Virtual Chips, Harding developed an innovative IP business model that transformed the company from consulting services Noun 1. consulting service - service provided by a professional advisor (e.g., a lawyer or doctor or CPA etc.)

"Analog and digital are colliding in system-on-chip design," said Matthew Raggett. "Lack of automation is impacting productivity and time-to-market, and SoC companies are begging for tools to address the bottleneck that analog design creates in the current design flow. ADA has the solution to this problem; we need someone with Martin's track record to grow our sales team and position us to deliver this solution to the market."

"With its powerful computing algorithms and innovative user interfaces, Genius provides enormous value both for the designer and the whole design and management team. I was strongly attracted to ADA by the potential these products have to make an immediate and profoundly positive impact on the manageability and predictability of analog and mixed-signal IC design projects," said Harding.
