Laquatra and Heinz Educate About Importance of "Superfoods"

While at ADA FNCE, Laquatra and Heinz will give attendees the tools they need to change lives by educating them about the benefits of "superfoods," which are foods more nutrient-dense than most others. As part of the education outreach, Heinz will sample products that feature tomatoes as superfoods, distribute educational information and offer giveaways at their booth (#1205).

By including more superfoods, such as tomatoes, salmon, blueberries and soy in your diet, you can improve your overall health, lower cholesterol and may help to reduce your risk of cancer, diabetes and heart disease. According to Steven Pratt, M.D., author of SuperFoods Rx, there are at least 14 foods that qualify as superfoods and tomatoes are consistently among them.
