ACX TECHNOLOGIES ANNOUNCES MANAGEMENT CHANGES AT GOLDEN ALUMINUM COMPANY

 GOLDEN, Colo., Sept. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- ACX Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ-NMS: ACXT) today announced that on an interim basis Joe Coors Jr. is assuming the role of president of Golden Aluminum Company as a result of the resignation of Joseph Lamb. Lamb has made significant contributions to Golden Aluminum and will continue in an advisory capacity.
 In accepting Lamb's decision to pursue interests outside the company, Joe Coors Jr. stated, "A very strong and empowered team of technical and business managers is in place and focused on the strategies necessary to fully realize the potential of the mini-mill technology worldwide."

Lupton mill is producing at high levels and the San Antonio mill continues to make advances in productivity, having sold more than 15 million pounds of can sheet to Coors Brewing Company this year," Coors added.  Joe Coors Jr. is currently chairman of Golden Aluminum and a member of the office of the president of ACX Technologies. Joe's twenty years of manufacturing and operations experience at Coors Ceramics Company will be valuable in Golden Aluminum's transition to a new management era.
