ACULIS Releases a Friendly Snake on the Software Testing Community: Apodora(TM)--An Automated Functional Testing Framework for Web Applications.

SALT LAKE CITY -- ACULIS Software Development Services unveiled Apodora[TM], an open-source functional test automation tool for web applications, at the StarEast Software Testing Software testing is the process used to measure the quality of developed computer software. Usually, quality is constrained to such topics as correctness, completeness, security, but can also include more technical requirements as described under the ISO standard ISO 9126, such  Conference in Orlando, Florida The city of Orlando is a major city in central Florida and is the county seat of Orange County, Florida. According to the 2000 census, the city population was 185,951. A 2006 U.S.  on May 16, 2007.

"We saw the need for it in our own software testing endeavors, so we developed it," says Seth Southern, Principal Developer of the Apodora Project, "and when something truly works, we like to share the wealth ... not to mention the knowledge."

The Apodora Project is hosted at www.apodora.org. Apodora is written in C#, an object-oriented programming language object-oriented programming language - object-oriented programming , and boasts key features such as: increased test coverage, decreased test management, a robust automation object repository, the ability to automate testing of multiple technologies, enhanced extensibility, and accessible functionality with advanced and beginner features.

Apodora is different from other automation solutions because individual objects that exist on multiple web pages may be represented in the database as a single object. When object changes on the website, the user may change a single object in the database and that change will effortlessly propagate prop·a·gate

Other than the "Scripting Engine" itself, there are a number of features in Apodora that aid in the development and execution of the test scripts. There's an "Object Spy" that allows the users to discover information about the objects in the web page. Apodora includes an "Object Maintenance" tool which gives the user the ability to maintain their objects, as well as a "Reporting Tool" that displays the events that occurred during execution of a test script, and a "Batching Tool" that will allow the user to specify "batches" of scripts that should run in sequence.

"ACULIS has an extensive roadmap for additional features for Apodora," says James Stone James Stone is the name of:
