NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 22, 2001

Bottle Rocket, a subsidiary of ACTV ACTV Active

ACTV Azienda del Consorzio Trasporti Veneziano (Venice Public Transport Company, Italy)
ACTV Advanced Compatible Television
, Inc. (Nasdaq: IATV), a digital media company, today announced a development agreement with GOLFONLINE.com, from the Editors of GOLF MAGAZINE. GOLFONLINE is a leading online destination for golf enthusiasts seeking instruction, equipment advice, travel planning, and Tour coverage.

Bottle Rocket will produce an interactive trivia game, slated to launch March 19 at http://www.golfonline.com/games, which will quiz contestants on the legends and heroes of the links. Under terms of the agreement, GOLFONLINE will license the game for two years. The game will be powered by Bottle Rocket's proprietary trivia engine and will support a database of thousands of topic-specific questions.

GOLFONLINE will also offer weekly, monthly and annual prizes to winners of the trivia contest. The quiz will be located on the site at "Hole 5," GOLFONLINE's rapidly expanding game destination. Special event versions of the trivia game will coincide with major golf tournaments, such as The Masters, to keep the questions fresh and relevant, and to drive repeat web site traffic.

"Trivia games are universally popular and appeal to an extremely broad audience," said Gib Chapman, president, Bottle Rocket. "By offering fans a compelling and exciting interactive golf experience, we can help drive traffic to GOLFONLINE and encourage longer and more frequent site visits."

"Golf is a sport rich in history and tradition that lends itself well to the trivia game format. GOLFONLINE users are avid golfers and golf fans that have a deep knowledge of the game. This gives online golfers a forum to show off their knowledge, learn and compete for prizes," said Julie Hansen, VP & General Manager, GOLFONLINE.
