VALENCIA - Actress Jane Seymour and architectural restorer Tim Corrigan have been appointed to the California Institute of the Arts California Institute of the Arts
 known as CalArts

The two join such luminaries as William Ahmanson, Don Cheadle, Roy E. Disney Roy Edward Disney, KCSG, (born January 10, 1930) was a longtime senior executive for The Walt Disney Company, which his father Roy Oliver Disney and his uncle Walt founded. , Tim Disney, Michael Eisner and Jeffrey Katzenberg.

Corrigan - whose father, Robert W. Corrigan, was CalArts' first president - established the firm Landmark Restoration in 1996 after an extensive career in advertising and communications. With offices in Los Angeles and Paris, the company refurbishes historically significant architectural structures in the United States and Europe.

Corrigan serves on the board of the AIDS Research Alliance of America and is a member of the Los Angeles County Museum Los Angeles County Museum, Los Angeles, Calif. The original museum opened in 1913. Among its important patrons was William Randolph Hearst, whose enormous collection brought the museum major status among the country's art houses.  Decorative Arts Council and the Los Angeles Music Center The Music Center (officially named the Performing Arts Center of Los Angeles County) is one of the three largest performing arts centers in the nation. Located in downtown Los Angeles, the Music Center is home to the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, Ahmanson Theater, Mark Taper  Fraternity of Friends.

Seymour has won two Golden Globe Awards for performances in leading roles in the television series ``Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman'' and the miniseries ``East of Eden East of Eden is a novel by Nobel Prize winner John Steinbeck, published in September 1952.

Often described as Steinbeck's most ambitious novel, East of Eden
.'' She received an Emmy Award for best supporting actress in the television movie ``Onassis: The Richest Man in the World.''

In addition to her acting work, Seymour has authored the nonfiction titles ``Two at a Time: A Journey through Twin Pregnancy'' and ``Remarkable Changes: Turning Life's Challenges into Opportunities'' and co-written, along with husband James Keach, the children's book series ``This One 'n That One''

Involved in numerous charities, Seymour is an international ambassador on behalf of Childhelp USA, a national organization combating child abuse.

CalArts, founded by the late Walt Disney, houses six schools - Art, Critical Studies, Dance, Film/Video, Music and Theater.
