said Wednesday the agreement will provide union members with an additional $45 million in compensation each year.

``Our members recognized that this two-year commercials contracts extension was a solid, fair deal for working actors,'' Rosenberg said in a statement. ``The agreement clearly establishes jurisdiction over commercials appearing on all new media platforms, calls for a crucial joint study that will allow us to analyze the rapidly changing industry.''

The agreement with the Association of National Advertisers The Association of National Advertisers is a representative body for the marketing community in the United States of America. ANA’s membership includes 400 companies with 9,000 brands that collectively spend over one hundred billion dollars in marketing communications and  and the American Association of Advertising Agencies The American Association of Advertising Agencies (AAAA) is an American advertising trade association.

The associations could not be reached for comment Wednesday.

A tentative agreement by the SAG-AFTRA Joint Board was passed Aug. 4 by an almost 95-percent margin.

called the overwhelming support for the contract extension ``a victory for the entire industry'' including both performers and advertisers.

``In exchange for express recognition of jurisdiction and increased wages and benefits, AFTRA will now work in partnership with our sister union and the advertising industry to analyze the rapidly evolving media environment,`` Connolly said.

``This agreement will increase job opportunities for professional performers in every corner of traditional and new media.''
