ACTON'S ANNUAL PARADE TO ATTRACT 100 ENTRIES.Byline: Daily News ACTON - Acton's 38th annual Fourth of July Fourth of July, Independence Day, or July Fourth, U.S. holiday, commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence. Celebration of it began during the American Revolution. Parade will begin at 9 a.m. Wednesday on Crown Valley Road. The theme is Country School Days, and the grand marshals will be students, teachers and principals from schools in the Acton-Agua Dulce Unified School District A unified school district is a school district which includes both primary school (kindergarten through middle school or junior high) and high school (grades 9-12). In Illinois, these districts are called unit school districts. . Sponsored by the local Chamber of Commerce, the parade has grown from an informal march into a procession of about 100 entries. Trophies will be awarded in 17 categories. Volunteers from the Antelope Valley This article is about the Los Angeles County region. The Sheriff's Department will close Crown Valley Road, except to parade entries, between Antelope Woods Road and Smith Avenue at 7:30 a.m. Suggested routes to get to the parade are by way of Soledad Canyon Soledad Canyon is a long narrow canyon / valley located in Los Angeles County, California between the cities of Palmdale and Santa Clarita. Soledad Canyon contains the localities of Vincent, Acton, Ravenna, and Agua Dulce. Road or Escondido Canyon Road. |
