ACTIONS SEMICONDUCTOR TO LICENSE ITS POWER METER TECHNOLOGY.

Actions Semiconductor Co., Ltd. (NASDAQ:ACTS) , one of China's leading fabless semiconductor companies that provides comprehensive, mixed-signal, system-on-a-chip and multimedia digital signal processing (DSP) solutions for portable consumer electronics, has adopted a business licensing model for its power meter product line.

The power meter business unit of Actions was established in 2002, and currently accounts for a small percentage of total revenue. This new licensing model should enable the company to better focus its efforts on the company's core business of system-on-a-chip ICs and solutions for the portable consumer electronics market. Actions will license its power meter related technology to a technology partner in exchange for royalty fees.
