(ACT) today announced a partnership for providing independent verification and validation (testing) Independent Verification and Validation - (IV&V) The verification and validation of a software product by an organisation that is both technically and managerially separate from the organisation responsible for developing the product.  (IV&V) services for year 2000 projects throughout Latin America Latin America, the Spanish-speaking, Portuguese-speaking, and French-speaking countries (except Canada) of North America, South America, Central America, and the West Indies. . ACT, based in Puerto Rico Puerto Rico (pwār`tō rē`kō), island (2005 est. pop. 3,917,000), 3,508 sq mi (9,086 sq km), West Indies, c.1,000 mi (1,610 km) SE of Miami, Fla. , has begun using SEEC IV&V Workbench(TM) at its year 2000 factory in San Juan, and will resell the SEEC solution and provide additional consulting services to third party customers throughout the region. ACT and SEEC also are exploring market opportunities for mainframe systems modernization services using SEEC Re-engineering Workbench(TM).

In head-to-head tests against other IV&V alternatives, the PC-based SEEC IV&V Workbench was the most productive and accurate solution, Hudders said, adding that three ACT customers reached the same conclusion in independent evaluations.
