ACT Networks announces T1 digital interfaces and digital voice expansion module for its integrated frame-relay access products.

ACT's new T1 Digital Interface Card supports two T1 interfaces, and when it is paired with the new ACT Digital Voice Expansion Cards (DVC-06), the interfaces allow direct connection between PBXs that have T1 interfaces and ACT Networks' Integrated Frame Relay Access Devices (communications) Frame Relay Access Device - (FRAD) Hardware and software that turns packets from TCP, SNA, IPX, etc into frames that can be sent over a Frame Relay wide area network.  (IFRADs).

The new digital interface provides a more efficient method of interconnection for network locations requiring high-density voice trunks by eliminating the need for multiple analog voice cards in the PBX (Private Branch eXchange) An inhouse telephone switching system that interconnects telephone extensions to each other as well as to the outside telephone network (PSTN). . The T1 interface module has a list price of $2,995, and the six-channel digital voice card has a list price of $3,995.
