ACT Networks Appoints David Weisman as Vice President of Marketing.

CALABASAS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 3, 2000

ACT Networks(R) Inc. (Nasdaq:ANET) -- a leading provider of multiservice access products -- today announced it has appointed David Weisman as vice president, marketing, with overall responsibility for developing and implementing ACT's global product and marketing strategies.

Most recently Weisman served as vice president, sales and marketing for the Advanced Switching division at Thomson-CSF, where he led the introduction of their high-speed electrical and optical switching equipment into the enterprise and telecommunications Communicating information, including data, text, pictures, voice and video over long distance.
