ACT 2 Films Hosts Award-Winning Scriptwriter.NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Angelo Pizzo, award-winning script writer, arrives in Nashville next Tuesday, as the guest of the locally-based film production company, ACT 2 Films. Best known for his box office hits Hoosiers and Rudy, Mr. Pizzo will visit Gallatin High School students to deliver a talk on script writing for the movie industry. It is all part of a whirlwind visit, as Pizzo and ACT 2 Films move forward with plans to develop a script for the movie UNION: The Basketball Game that Changed a Town Forever, based on the true story of a historic game played between two Gallatin high schools in 1970. "We are excited to host Angelo's visit to Nashville so he can see, first-hand, some of the prominent locations in this compelling story," states Nancy Bailey, president of ACT 2 Films. "And he was gracious enough to agree to speak the school, at the invitation of Sumner County School Superintendent Benny Bills." Mr. Pizzo concludes his trip by attending a luncheon with Gallatin residents Eddie Sherlin and Bill Ligon, whose life stories have inspired the movie script for UNION. ACT 2 Films, LLC is a Nashville-based film production company. For more information, visit www.UnionTheMovie.com, or call 615-308-9287. |
