ACS earns praise for IT infrastructure.ACS strengthened its IT Outsourcing presence globally by providing infrastructure services like network services, storage, desk operations, midrange, security, mainframe and desktop support, according to a company report. Employing around 70,000 people all over the world, this company earned $6.4 billion in revenue for 2008 wherein ITO represents approximately 25 percent of ACS' revenue. The company has operations in more than 100 countries. ACS also sees significant opportunity in Europe. In 2008, ACS expanded its ITO business into Europe, acquiring companies in Britain and in Germany to enhance its global capabilities. New business signings for the fiscal year-to-date period were an estimated $1.6 billion of total contract value, which was a 20 percent increase over the prior comparable period. The company's new business signings for the fiscal year-to-date period were $405 million of annual recurring revenue. The commercial segment accounted for 60 percent of revenues and grew 8 percent, of which 4 percent was internal. The government segment accounted for 40 percent of revenues and grew 7 percent, excluding divestitures, of which 4 percent was internal. |
