ACS Names Kevin Shelly Senior Vice President, Group Sales for Government Solutions Group.

DALLAS -- Affiliated Computer Services, Inc. (NYSE: ACS) has named Kevin Shelly senior vice president, group sales for ACS Government Solutions Group, responsible for strategic growth along with management of ACS' government sales teams. Based in Washington, D.C., Shelly reports to Joe Doherty, executive vice president and group president of ACS Government Solutions Group.

"With more than 25 years of experience in technology sales, Kevin is the right person to build a culture designed for growth, high customer intimacy, collaboration and innovative solutions," said Doherty. "Kevin has the experience, knowledge and skill to help ACS further establish itself as a leader in the government space."

Shelly comes to ACS from Bearing Point, where he spent 10 years leading sales teams serving the state, local and higher education markets, successfully growing revenue and developing strategic programs to better help clients. Previously, Shelly was director of sales to the federal, state and local markets for Sybase, and earlier was in federal government sales for Oracle.

Shelly holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of South Carolina. He is currently a member of TechAmerica (formerly ITAA), serving as chairperson for the Committee on Government Procurement Reform.
