ACS Named Employer of the Year by Horizon Goodwill Industries.

FROSTBURG, Md. -- Affiliated Computer Services, Inc. (NYSE: ACS) has been named Employer of the Year by Horizon Goodwill Industries for working with Goodwill to recruit, hire and train people with disabilities and other employment barriers.

"The contributions of companies like ACS help fulfill Goodwill's mission of providing meaningful employment for people with disabilities or other disadvantages."

ACS is being honored for its commitment to hire and promote those with disabilities, its willingness to provide accommodations to facilitate employment of workers with disabilities, its desire to become involved in the development of training programs for employees with disabilities, and its commitment to integrating people with disabilities with other employees. ACS recruiters have conducted several job fairs in conjunction with Goodwill.

Earlier this year, ACS was named Employer of the Year by Goodwill Industries of Kentucky for its hiring practices. In 2008, ACS received the Employer of the Year Award from the state of Utah and the Partnership of the Year Award from the Kentucky Office For the Blind in recognition of its efforts to hire people with disabilities.

ACS has hired more than 220 people through this initiative since the program began in March 2008. The company has a dedicated team of six recruiters helping more than 30 ACS locations in the U.S. to recruit, hire and promote people with disabilities. The team of diversity recruiters has established partnerships with more than 300 agencies nationwide that support people with disabilities.
