Stamp collectors are scrambling to obtain a scarce printing of one version of the Bugs Bunny stamp issued this year by the U.S. Postal Service The U.S. Postal Service (USPS) processes and delivers mail to individuals and businesses within the United States. The service seeks to improve its performance through the development of efficient mail-handling systems and operates its own planning and engineering programs. .

The Postal Service withdrew the die-cut version in October after only 118,000 copies were sold. When word filtered through the stamp community that so small a quantity had been printed, prices soared. At one point, $210 was paid for a Bugs sheet at a stamp auction on the Internet.

VIRTUAL VEGAS: For the 99 percent of the world's techno-junkies who won't be attending Comdex this week in Las Vegas, Toshiba America Inc. has set up a virtual Comdex World Wide Web site at www.toshiba.com/events/comdex. The site includes a digital view of the conference's main floors, features on new products (with lots of Toshiba goods) and information on Sin City itself, with data on Vegas hotels, restaurants and entertainment.
